Luke Nguyen’s France

After Vietnam and the Greater Mekong, Chef Luke Nguyen is headed to France for his newest culinary adventure. Luke Nguyen’s France begins tonight, Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 7:30pm on SBS ONE. In this 10-part series, Luke’s travel started in Paris, and went on to visit places like Lyon, Nice, Brittany and ended in the Loire Valley. Along the way, he discovered more about French regional cooking, and also created his own unique Asian-fusion dishes with a Vietnamese twist.

Luke Nguyen’s passion for food leads him out of Asia and into France, the culinary wonderland that shaped his ancestral home, Vietnam, and the lives of so many in his family.
“My search to understand my own Vietnamese culture has lead me here to France. The French colonized Vietnam for almost 100 years. And during this time, they left their mark on Vietnamese culture and cuisine. Both cultures share a passion for food, fresh produce. Baguettes, coffee and the vibrant curbside dining scene. But above all, we all share the love for anything food.
