Pork involtini in tomato sauce
Homemade Chicken Nuggets
Cut 2 skinless chicken breasts lengthways into 4 strips (3 from the larger main piece + the smaller tenderloin piece), then cut crosswise twice to get nugget sized pieces. Coat in flour, then in egg mixture (2 eggs + a little milk + salt), then in Japanese Panko breadcrumbs – to double crumbed for a crispier nugget, back into egg mixture and then breadcrumbs. Shallow fry over medium heat in 1cm oil for about 30-40 seconds each side. Serve with extra pinch of salt and lemon wedges.

    • The Sunday episodes are repeats, so it would be either from series 1 or 2. At the top of this post, under the title, click the link in “Tags” and you will see all posts related to Everyday Gourmet and then you can search in series 1 or 2 of the show for the recipe.

    • That recipe was not available on the official website as it was a promotional spot for Breville if I remember correctly. However Justine had done a Caesar Salad recipe in Ep 5, Series 2 last year which is similar.

    • Hmm, is this from the new episodes on weekday afternoons, or the repeated episodes? The most recent is the one in ep 34 above but it is done in a sous vide, unless it is from the promotional spot for the duck sponsor which they usually do not give out the recipe.

  8. On a recent show (Saturday 8 February 2014) which is a repeat show I believe, Justine had a guest who made small Almond Cakes. Can you please tell me the name of the particular cake pan which was used. ???? Tried in vain so far to find the anme of the pan which had a small cavitiy / indent on the bottom. Thank you 🙂

    • I’m also not sure. All I know is the cake/tart tin with an indented base is used for making fruit flan, so maybe a ‘fruit flan tin’, the small ones could be ‘mini/individual fruit flan tins’? Kirsten Tibballs (as that’s her recipe) has a website, maybe you can go to her website and ask her directly?
