Moonlight Chicken พระจันทร์มันไก่ is a new 8-episode Thai BL series that premiered on February 8, 2023. It is the third and the last drama from the Midnight Series anthology that began with Midnight Motel at the end of last year and continued with Dirty Laundry last month.
The theme song is surprisingly a cover of a Mandopop song from Taiwan first released 50 years ago in 1973! The song, 月亮代表我的心 (Yuèliàng Dàibiǎo Wǒde Xīn), is a perennial favourite Mandopop love song made famous by Taiwanese singer Teresa Teng 鄧麗君 recorded in 1977 although she was not the original singer. The singer who recorded the song first was Chen Fen-Lan 陳芬蘭 in 1973. The song was also most recently covered as the theme song in 2021’s Taiwanese series Light the Night 華燈初上.
