I just stumbled onto this new 6-part series from Jamie Oliver which is set to premiere in the UK next week, starting Tuesday October 25, 2011, on Channel 4. TEN network in Australia would have the rights to the series but don’t know when they will air it, maybe this summer?
Anyway, judging from what happened with the online recipes from Jamie’s 30-Minute Meals series earlier this year, they probably will do the same thing and post the recipes online for a short time only, so I’m keeping an eye out for the online recipes NOW when they air in the UK in the next few weeks and not missed out on the online recipes for the series.

  1. The first episode was good, hope you’ll enjoy it when it airs in Australia. Jamie’s recipes tend to be removed from C4 website when the show end but they remain on Jamieoliver.com

I’m not sure if you have heard of the food program ‘Two Greedy Italians’ it’s with Jamie’s mentor Gennaro Contaldo and Antonio Carluccio. It aired earlier in the year in UK on the BBC, it’s definitely worth a watch my favorite food series this year its funny, heartwarming and great food.

We also have a program called ‘The Great British Bake Off’ have you heard about it?? Season 2 has just ended here, it’s a competition for amateur bakers it’s not as exciting as Masterchef but as your a keen baker I thought I’d mention it (episodes can be found on YouTube) If Baking is as popular in Australia as it is here in UK I can imagine a TV network will have brought the concept.

    • Thanks for the info about Two Greedy Italians. I hope we get to see it soon here too.

I have heard about The Great British Bake Off, I have already got a few recipes from the show website, but don’t think we will get to see the series here, unless one of the multichannels decides to screen it…
