Part of my AWW cookbook collection, most of the Top 10 recipes are also in some of these cookbooks.

In the July 2010 Issue of The Australian Women’s Weekly, the food team of the magazine compiled a list of Australia’s favourite ten cakes from the magazine. I’ve made #2 and #7 previously and I can say they were delicious! So below are the links to these Top 10 Cakes of the Women’s Weekly:

  4. Thank you so much for posting this together with the link to the recipes. I can hardly wait to try them! I love your blog. I can’t eat any non-organic dairy products or eggs due to hormonal issues but thanks to you I can make all my favourite Chinese goodies organic.

  5. hello, thanks for the links. but im just wondering wat do i substitute the liqour with? do you have any idea? im interested in the mississippi mud cake recipe but it has alcohol which i cant take.

    • To make Mississippi Mud Cake, unfortunately you need to add the alcohol to be authentic. However there are many other versions of Chocolate Mud Cake that do not use alcohol, for example here’s one recipe for a non-alcoholic Mud Cake from Women’s Weekly you may want to try.
