This cake was made on Everyday Gourmet last week and it looked fantastic with the thinly sliced apple on top, so I just have to make it too. Now except I don’t have that super-duper chopper/mixer, so I have to slice my apple by hand as thinly as I could manage. I also reduced the amount as that was a big cake and did slight adjustment to the recipe to fit my 20cm tin. It turned out very well and tasted wonderful as well!
Wow you have excellent knife skills.

LOL, I have to practise on another apple first to get the nice thin even slices.

How much did you have to reduce the quantity by to fit into a 20 cm tin? I agree with previous poster about your knife skills!

Thanks. I made 2/3 of the recipe for 20cm tin.

Who needs a mandolin slicer when you can get perfectly uniform apple slices like yours?
Cake looks delicious!

Thanks, LOL, it is actually not that hard with a very sharp knife.
