This cake was made on Everyday Gourmet last week and it looked fantastic with the thinly sliced apple on top, so I just have to make it too. Now except I don’t have that super-duper chopper/mixer, so I have to slice my apple by hand as thinly as I could manage. I also reduced the amount as that was a big cake and did slight adjustment to the recipe to fit my 20cm tin. It turned out very well and tasted wonderful as well!

    • LOL, I have to practise on another apple first to get the nice thin even slices.

  2. How much did you have to reduce the quantity by to fit into a 20 cm tin? I agree with previous poster about your knife skills!

  4. Who needs a mandolin slicer when you can get perfectly uniform apple slices like yours?
    Cake looks delicious!

    • Thanks, LOL, it is actually not that hard with a very sharp knife.
